ENGINEERED AND DESIGNED TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS

LUFKIN Rods’ extremely accurate precision CNC lathes coupled with our unique manufacturing approach, ensures the outer diameter and inner diameter is precisely concentric for consistent wall-thickness throughout. This eliminates stress concentrations due to eccentric wall-thickness.

An enhanced face is provided to maximize the contact area between the coupling and pin shoulder. This improved design fosters consistent circumferential displacement (CD) and preload stress values during makeup; i.e., potentially reducing connection-related failures. In addition, all couplings are furnished with cold-formed threads to provide additional fatigue resistance.

All LUFKIN Couplings are manganese phosphate coated for corrosion protection, anti-galling, and lubricity.

GRADE TA

Recommended for medium-to-deep wells and/or moderate-to-heavy rod loads and corrosive fluids that are effectively inhibited to prevent corrosion.

GRADE TAS

Recommended to increase corrosion abrasion resistance, Grade TAS couplings have a hard, spray metal coating on the outer diameter.
